At age 15, Matt picked up a bass and hasn’t stopped playing since. He’s shared a stage with The Lee Boys, Victor Wooten, Doug Wimbish, George Porter Jr., Soulive, and Oteil and Kofi Burbridge to name just a few! Regularly you can see him with RC3 (with Roosevelt Collier & Anthony Cole), Heej (with Bobby Lee Rogers and Anthony Cole), 3fer (with Syoma Klotcho & Rion Smith), Children of the Klorn, The New Etruscans, Con Leche, Brown Note, Absinthe Trio, and Shak Nasti; around Florida and beyond. Currently, his funk project called Kamani with Nikki Glaspie and Kat Dyson (and the guys from Ghost-Note Sput Searight & Xavier Taplin) tours regularly around the US.

Hi Matt,
I saw you play with Bobby Lee Rodgers May 21 in Lake Worth at the Bamboo Room. What a great show that was, Your skills on the bass were very impressive and I walked out after the show knowing I had just seen a great performance by all three.
Take care,

Bass guitar is a very difficult instrument to be “good” at… and Matt is excellent!! World class.
Great site, Bud! Hope we can make some of these upcoming gigs. Any of them before midnight?
